RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, TO ACCEPT THE
2016 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE — INGLEWOOD DRIVE STREET RESURFACING PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO JAY MILLS CONTRACTING; FINDING AND DETERMINING THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville entered into a unit price contract with JAY MILLS
CONTRACTING with a final estimated total cost of$109,200.00; and
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of $109,980.00 of which
$104,481.00 has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving an amount due of$5,499.00;and
WHEREAS,the City has received an executed Final Bills Paid Affidavit from the Contractor
and a recommendation of final payment has been received from the City Engineer.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE,TEXAS,
THAT;
SECTION 1. The 2016 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE — INGLEWOOD DRIVE STREET
RESURFACING PROJECT is hereby accepted,and the Interim City Administrator is authorized
to make final payment to the contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined the meeting in which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 7th day of February 2017.
