City of Stephenville - City Council
TUESDAY, AUGUST 26, 2014— 5:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, reconvened on August 26, 2014, at 5:30 p.m., in
the Training Room at Stephenville City Hall, 298 West Washington Street, for the purpose of a Special Council
Meeting, with the meeting being open to the public, and being in continuation of the August 25, 2014 Special
Council Meeting, for which notice of said meeting, giving the date, time, place and subject thereof, has been
posted as prescribed by Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated, with the
following members present, to wit:

Jerry Warren
Others Attending Randy Thomas, City Attorney

I. Call to Order. Mayor Weldon announced that the meeting of the Stephenville City Council is
reconvened from the recessed August 25, 2014 Special Council Meeting.
MOTION by Russ McDanel, second by Casey Hogan, to approve the minutes of the August
25, 2014 Special Council Meeting. MOTION CARRIED.
If. EXECUTIVE SESSION. At 5:36 p.m., Mayor Weldon recessed the open portion of the
meeting, and council went into executive session in compliance with the provisions of the
Texas Open Meetings Law, Subchapter D, Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes,
Annotated, in accordance with 551.074 Personnel Matters (a)(1) to deliberate the
appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a
public officer or employee—Evaluation of City Administrator
Council reconvened in open session at 6:19 p.m.
III. Action taken on Matters Discussed in Executive Session.
MOTION by Russ McDanel, second by Casey Hogan, to name Chief Pat Bridges as Interim
City Administrator effective immediately. MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.

Stephenville City Council
MOTION by Russ McDanel, second by Sherry Zachery, to authorize staff to locate search
firms to assist council with the hiring of a new city administrator as well as a temporary
special adviser position in the community services and planning and development area.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
IV. Adjourn
MOTION by Casey Hogan, second by Russ McDanel, to adjourn the meeting. MOTION
CARRIED at 6:30 p.m.
