January 14, 1964•
The City Council met in called session on this date with Mayor Evans presiding
and the following Councilmen present: I. D. Reynolds, Hubert Darby, Mark Geeslin,
Roy Swain, Harlan Huey and W. H. Stem.
Mayor Evans reported Mr. X3iug, of Wm. F. Guyton Associates, had met with he
and Mr. Gann this morning and the following was recommended:
1. Agreed to go in a southerly direction in search of adequate water as wells
in that area could be tied into the present system on Lillian Street.
2. Should the test prove satisfactory there could be one well drilled half a
mile from the existing well. Such well would be in the present well field. Later
on then move one mile from the well and start a new well field which would finally
contain eight wells.
After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Swain, seconded by Councilman Stem,
to employ Wm. F. Guyton Associates to prove up a well field and engineer the drilling
of one well in such well field. Motion carried.
There being no other business at this time,
