HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-10-21 - Special City CouncilCouncilwoman McCleskey reported that the committee has met with the Commissioners Court and the County has agreed to pay half the cost of paving the old County Jail lot and the lot south of the Church of Christ. The cost of paving to be $400.00 per lot. It was moved by Councilwoman McCleskey, seconded by Cojncilman Riggins, to pave the old County Jail Lot and the lot owned by the Church of Christ. The County to pay one half the cost of paving. The City to also enter into lease agree- ment with the Church of Christ. Motion carried unanimously. Bob Allen, speaking for the Commissioners Court, stated that the County and property owners-would like to curb and pave West McNeill Street in the block south of the County Jail. The Council assured this group that the City would pave the street. It was pointed out that property owners will be required to put up the money for paving befor(?the work is done.
