June 14, 1965.
The City Council met in a called meeting on this date with Mayor Arthur pre-
siding and the following councilmen present: Mrs. Doyle White, Roy Swain, Chas.
Riggins, Hubert Darby, Bill Christian and Telefus B. Cawyer.
The Mayor stated the purpose of the meeting was to consider a report of the
City Zoning Commission & Addustment Board.
The Zoning Commission & Adjustment Board met on June 8, 1965, and by unani-
mous vote the following recommendations were made: that the land known as the
Ada McElroy property, and lying south of Loop 195 and west of South Dale Ave., be
rezoned as follows: 100 feet west of South Dale Avenue to Business 1. Remainder
of said property shall remain zoned Business 2. The Board, the property owners
and adjacent property owners are in agreement that the 100 foot Business 1 strip
would serve as a sufficient buffer between Residence and Business property.
It was moved by Councilman Riggins, seconded by Councilman Cawyer, to accept
the recommendations of the Zoning Commission & Adjustment Board, thereby changing
the zoning as outlined above. Motion carried.
