The City Council met in called meeting on this date with Mayor Cook presiding and the following Councilmen present: Mrs. Fred McCleskey, E. Lee Orbison, Chas. Riggins, Roy Swain, Bill Christian and W. H. Stem. Mr. Taylor Almon appeared before the Council and presented three resolutions. It was moved by Councilman Christian, seconded by- Councilman Orbison, to adopt a resolution approving Estimate No. 3 of Texas Water Wells Inc., on construction of Waterworks Improvements. Motion carried unanimously. (Said resolution being attached to and becoming a part of these minutes). It was moved by Councilman Riggins, seconded by Councilwoman McCleskey, to adopt a resolution approving Estimate # 1 of Steea Construction Company on construc- tion of Waterworks Improvements. Motion carried unanimously. (Said resolution being attached to and becoming a part of these minutes). It was moved by Councilman Swain, seconded by Councilman Stem, to adopt a res- olution approving Estimate # I} of Texas Water Wells Inc., on construction of Water- works Improvements. Motion carried unanimously. (Said resolution being attached to and becoming a part of these minutes). It was moved by Councilman Orbison, seconded by Councilman Riggins, to extend a 2 inch water main from the Barham - Lockhart Addition west to the Whitefield property at a cost to the Whitefield Heirs of .70X'per foot and with the understanding that a total of no more than six houses be supplied by such 2 inch water main. Motion carried. It was moved by Councilman Stem, seconded by Councilman Swain, to adopt the following resolution: Resolved, that the City suit in condemnation against field, Loree Moore and husba Browning, and Hortense Shulk of -way acrosss68 acres of H: recorded in Volume 395, Page be 20 feet wide along center for said pipeline. RESOLUTION Attorney, Joseph A. Chandler, be authorized to file J. R. (Jake) Whitefield, Oral Whitefield, Claude White - ad, A . M. Moore, Ruth Browning and husband, Thomas L. and 'husband, Lee Roy Shulk, for water pipeline right - C. Hudson Survey, Abstract # 34P, and described in deed 340, Erath County Deed Records, such right -of -way to line as staked by Homer Hunter & Associates, engineers Motion for the above redolution carried unanimously. It was moved by Councilman Orbison, seconded by Councilman Christian, to adopt the following resolution: RESOLUTION Resolved, that the Mayor, W. E. Cook, is authorized to execute to Erath County Electric Cooperative Association an easement to construct and maintain a power line together with necessary pole, or poles, to furnish electric power to Texas Power & Light Company for the purpose of serving water well pump and facilities on that certain one -third acre of land, more or less, out of the J. B. Robertson Survey, Abstract # 650, in Erath County, Texas, conveyed to said City by Harold R. Pack and Wife, Marion Frances Pack, also on that certain .36 acre of land, more or less, out of Block 14 of J. B. Robertson Survey, Abstract # 650,in Erath County, Texas, ac- q uired by the City of Stephenville in Condenation Suit # 3371 from J. 0. Allbritton and others, which easements shall be attested by the City Secretary. Motion for the above resolution carried unanimously.
