November 22, 1966
The City Council met in a called meeting on the above date with Mayor Arthur
presiding and the following Councilmen present: Roy Swain, Charles Riggins, Telefus
Cawyer, Raymond Anderson, and Mrs. Fred McCleskey.
It was reported that City Judge M. Shannon must enter the hospital, and to
comply with City Charter, Article 5, Section 2, someone must be appointed to
serve as temporary City Judge.
After discussion it was moved by Councilman Riggins, seconded by Councilman
Swain that Rex H. Cates be appointed City Judge untill Judge Shannon is able to
return to work. Motion carried unanimously.
There being no other business at this time the Council stood adjourned, subJEt
to the Mayor's call.
