The City Council met in a called meeting in the office of City Atto2ney Joseph A.
Chandler with Mayor,Arthur presiding and the following council members present:
Mrs. Doyle White, Garland Loudermilk, Charles Riggins, W. M.Irwin, Telefus X Cawyer
and Mrs. Fred McCleskey.
The Council considered the matter of the Mayor writing a letter to Higginbothams
Bros. and Company expressing interest of the City of Stepehenville in the Higgin-
bothams lumber yard site and advising Higginbothams that the lot would be pptggch s
ased
if an agreeable price could be reached.
It was moved by Councilman Irwin, seconded by Councilwoman McCleskey that the Mayor
be authorized to write this letter. Motion carried unanimously.
