The City Council met in a called meeting on the above date with Mayor Pro tem
McCleskey presiding and the following council members present: Robert Herrin,
Don Metsgar, Garlan Loudermilk, Charles Riggins, W. M. Irwin, Telefus Cawyer,
and Raymond Anderson,
Mr. Dan Almon appeared before the council and presented ordinances on court-
house square improvements.
It was moved by Councilman Loudermilk, seconded by Councilman Herrin, to adopt
an ordinance authorizing change order to Williams and Young on courthouse
square improvements. Motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Councilman .Herrin _;, seconded by Councilman Loudermilk, to
adopt an ordinance approving estimate number 5 of Williams and Young for
_courthouse square improvements and authorizing issuance of warrants number
200 through 210 plus certificate in amount of $106.95. Motion careied
unanimously.
It was moved by Councilman Cawyer, seconded by Councilman Metsgar, to adopt
an ordinance authorizing issuance of warrants to pay financial advisory fee for
courthouse square improvements, in amount of $,200.00. Warrants number 211
throughk 217 plus certificate for $200.00. Motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Councilman Cawyer, seconded by Councilman Loudermilk, to
adopt an ordinance directing exchange of certificate of interest for time
warrants. That warrants numbers 218 through 220 in total amount of $3,000.00
plus certificate of $423.56 to be paid in cash be issued. Also that warrants
number 225 through 240 in amount of $16,000.00 not be delivered and are here-
by cancelled. Motion carried .
It was moved by Councilman Irwin, seconded by Councilman Cawyer, to transfer
$27,500.00 from the Water Works Operating Fund to the Library Fund. Motion
carried unanimously.
There being no other business at this time the coyne2� stood adjounned,
