The City Council met on the above date in a called session with the following
members present: Toby Stone, Jack Curtis, Robert Herrin, W. M. Irwin, Garland
Loudermilk, Mrs. Fred McCleskey, Doug Smithey, Don Metsgar, and Mayor John Skipper
presiding.
Mr. Charles Neblett, Jr. appeared before the council requesting that the city tax
evaluation for the Neblett and King Bldg. be accepted at $28,000. in order that
the back taxes be cleared up from 1966 - 1970. Mr. Neblett offered his check in
the amount of $1,792.00 which is for taxes based on $28,000. valuation.and does
not include penalty. This referred to Finance Committee.
Mr. Taylor Almon of the Almon and Co. presented to the council the schedule for
final payments and authorization of changing refunding warrants into bonds.
