Stephenville, Texas
The City Council met on the above date in a called session with the following members
present: Toby Stone, W. M. Irwin, Doug Smithey, Garland Loudermilk, Don Metsgar,
and Mayor John Skipper.presiding.
Several members of the City Planning Commission also attended. Those present were:
Dr. Trogden, Barbara Terrell, Mrs. Ken Dorris, W. N. Brown and C. H. Maguire, chairman.
The council heard a report on the City Master Plan as prepared by Hunter Associates
and presented by George Feagan and Dave Denison.
Mr. Denison gave the report for the projected program for the schools, recreation
and parks departments, city Nall and fire building expansion, community centers
and library, et.c.
Mr. Feagan presented a report on the water works supply system, sewage systems,
thoroughfare and street planning, and related future needs and planning for the city.
Mayor Skipper and the council commended the City Planning Commission and Mr. Feagan
and Mr. Denison for their efforts and good work in the City Planning Programs.
The members of the council discussed extensively the proposed city budget for fiscal
year 1970 -71. After discussion , Councilman Irwin made a motion seconded by Council-
man Loudermilk that the council tentatively approve the proposed budget as presented.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Irwin and seconded by Councilman Metsgar to rescind
the previous action held by the city council on the plat presented by Seth Moore
on Tanglewood 2 Addition and request that the final plat be made on the southerly
6 lots in this addition and be resubmitted to the city council. Motion carried.
No further business to discuss at this time, council stood adjourned, subject to the
Mayors call.
