April 14, 1970
The City Council met in a called meeting on the above date with Mayor Skipper presiding
and the following council members present: Robert Herrin, Don Metsgar, Garland Louder -
milk, Doug Smithey, W. M. Irwin, Jack Curtis, Toby Stone and Mrs. Fred McCleskey.
Mayor stated that the meeting was called for the purpose of making the committee
assignments and for new council members to get acquainted with the things that are
working and have not been finalized.

The council discussed the proposed annexation and it was agreed to meet on April 21, 1970
at 1:30 P.M. for the purpose of discussion and voting on the annexation,,and setting a date
for public hearing.;
The question was brought up concerning the proposed placing of parking meters on the
Higginbotham lot. It was pointed out that the purchase of this lot was part of the
downtown improvement project and that parking meter revenue has been obligated to pay
for the improvements.
There being no other business at this time the council stood adjourned, subject to the
Mayor's call.
