OF THE
CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, HELD ON
FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, 1986 - 3:00 P.M.
ITEM I: CALL TO ORDER.
The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Stephenville,
Texas, was called to order by the Mayor with the following members present:
Mayor: David Clayton
Members: Bob Self Jim McSwain
Larry Hammett Ray Reynolds
Bill Brede Larry Tatum
and with the following members absent: Allen Horne and Pinkie Swindle.
Others attending were City Administrator Kurt Ackermann, City Secretary
Joyce Pemberton, and Director of Finance Charlene Young.
ITEM II: PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER PASSAGE OF 1986 -1987 BUDGET.
Mayor David Clayton opened the floor for a public hearing to consider
the 1986-1987 budget.
There being no one present wishing to address this issue, Mayor Clayton
closed the public:.hearing.
Councilman Larry Tatum moved passage of AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONI
FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
OCTOBER 1, 1986 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1987 AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL
BUDGET OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE FOR THE 1986 -87 FISCAL YEAR.
Councilman Bill Brede seconded the motion. The motion carried
unanimously.
There being no other business to cane before the Council at this time,
Mayor David Clayton adjourned the meeting at 3:10 p.m.

ORDINANCE NO. 1986 -21
AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE
CITY OF STEPHENVILLE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,
1986 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1987 AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL
BUDGET OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE FOR THE 1986 -87 FISCAL
YEAR.
WHEREAS, the budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1986
and ending September 30, 1987, was duly presented to the City
Council by the City Administrator and a public hearing was
ordered by the City Council and a public notice was published
in the Stephenville Empire Tribune said public hearing was held
according to said notice: now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE:
SECTION 1. That the appropriations for the fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1986 and ending September 30, 1987, for the support of
the general government of the City of Stephenville, Texas, be
fixed and determined for said terms in accordance with the expen-
ditures shown in the City's fiscal year 1986 -87 budget.
SECTION 2. That the budget is hereby approved in all respects
and adopted as the City's budget for the fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1986 and ending September 30, 1987.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 29 day of August, 1986.
