The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned regular meeting on August 9, 1943, with Mayor J. W, Clements presiding and the following aldermen present: Dan Lane, Reecie Jones, C. E. Martin, Bras Cole, T. R. Moore, S. E. Richard eon, C. A. McDonald, and T. G. Funk. It was moved by S. E. Richardson, seconded by Bras Cole, that;; the Council accept the resignation of Dr. T. M. Gordon as City Health Officer, and that Dr. J. J. Mulloy be appointed to fill the; vacancy. Motion carried. The water situation was discussed, and on motion by S. E. Richardson, seconded by C. A. McDonald, that the City purchase Lot 180 Block 6, Park Place Addition, from J. D. Killough for the (i purpose of digging a new water well. Motion carried. There being no other business at this time, the Council stood!, adjourned in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayor's wall. ATTEST: City Secretary. Mayor. The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned ! regular meeting on August 27, 1943, with Mayor Clements presiding' and the following aldermen present: C. E. Martin, C. A. McDonald,'; Dan Lane, Reecie Jones, T. R. Moore, S. E. Richardson and T. G. Funk. The Mayor stated that a tax judgment had been taken on the E. C. Overby property and that Mr. Overby is now ready to redeem same. After discussion, it was moved by C. A. McDonald, seconded', by T. R. Moore, that the resolution be passed and that the Mayor be authorized to execute a deed to Mr. Overby. Motion carried. (Resolution attached and being a part of these minutes).
