The City•Ccuncil,of the City of Stephenville, met in an ad- !' journed regular meeting on October 27th, 1942, with Mayor J. W. Clements presiding and the following aldermen present. Dan Lane,! C. E. Martin, Leonard Fanner, C. A. McDonaldp T. R. Moore, Bras Cole and Fred McCleskey. The Mayor stated that the business of the meeting was a deal between Ernest Belcher's lot on Long Street and the City's lot on No Graham Street. After discussion, it was moved by C. A. Mo- Donald, seconded by T. R. Moore, that, the resolution for the sale of the lot be approved and the Mayor be authorized to sign the deed. Motion carried. (Resolution attached hereto and being a pa: of these minutes. The Council then adjourned, subject to the Mayor's call. j���iP Mayor. City Secretary. To. 41 in Block No. 66 in the City of Stephenville in Erath County, Texas, title to which is vested in the City of ate henville and Lot to. 7 in Block he. 71 in the City of Ste.henville, Erath County, Tanas, title to which is vested in lrnest Belcher; and the 7inance Co::-:,ittee of the City Council raving made its report recommends that the City convey said property first ;entioned to Ernest Belcher in exchange for the property last mentioned from Ernest Belcher; and said Finance Committee having further recoiamarled that the consideration be recited in each deed of conveyance to be the sure of SEVEN I-:UNDRED �,ND FIFTY DOL1r.RS (150.00) , that being the value placed and agreed upon for each of said parcels of land, it was moved by Alderman C. A. McDonald seconded by ,lderman T. R. Moore , that the following resolution be passed: USOLVED: That the Layer of the City of Stephenville execute for and on behalf of the City of itephenville a deed conveying the following described property: All that certain lot of land, being a part of Lot he. 4 in Block No. 66 in the City of Stephenville, in Ebath County, Texas, on the John Blair survey accord- ing to King's Revised Plan thereof, and described by metes and bounds, as follows; Beginning in the '.lest line of North Graham Street at a point 311.3 feet S 30 E from the Y.E.Corner of Block No. 66, at the S.E.C. of a part of Lot No. 5 now occupied by its. "lice E. Tubbs, for the N.E.C. of this; Thence S 30 E BoO feet to the N.E.C. of Lot No. 3; Thence S 60 W 208 feet to East line of North Belknap Street; Thence N 30 1 8?p feet to the N.W.C. of this; Thence N 60 E 208 feet to the elate of beginning. to Ernest Belcher for a recited consideration of S MIT HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLaRS Q750.00) in cash; that being the value placed upon said property and it being necessary to recite a cash consideration in order to 'seep the title un- effected on each piece of property in this exchange and that said deed be attested by the City Secretary and be delivered to the said Ernest Belcher contemr_.oror Vusly with the delivery by the said Ernest Belcher of a deed of conveyance to the City of Stephenville of the following described pro- perty: Lot No. 7 in Block No. 71 in the City of Stephenville in Erath County, Texas, on the John Blair survey, accord- ing to Ring's Revised Map thereof, described by ,.fetes and bounds, as follows; Beginning; in the S.B. Line of Long Street at a point 365 feet from the original N.j.Cornor of Block No. 71, at the N.E. Corner of the Jack Teddlie Lot No. 6 in said Block No. 71, for the N. W. Corner of this; Thence S 30 E 258.5 feet to an L corner of Lot 6,-qt a point 100 feet N 30 Si from the N.B. Line of the North Bank of Letnodist branch: ^ Thence P; 60 E at 31 feet to the Test Bank of Lethodist branch, in all 90 feet to the Last bank of P;?ethodist branch, the U.E.C. of this; Thence in a Northerly direction 273 feet along the meanderings of a stone ,gall on the Eat bunk of said branch to the South line of Long Street, the N.E. corner of this; Thence S 60 7 138 feet with S. B. Line of Long O reet to the place of beginning. Said resolution having, been put to vote, it carried unanimously.
