Stephenville, Texas
June 10, 1942.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in a#
adjourned regular meeting on the above date, with Mayor J. W.
Clements presiding, and the following aldermen present: T. R.
Moore, Bras Cole, Fred McCleskey, Dan Lane, Leonard Fenner, Reecie!
Jones, and C. A. McDonald.
Messrs. Garland Eubank, Arch Evans, Dean J. Thos. Davis, and
Dr. J. C. Terrell presented a petition of 444 names asking that
the City Council call an election for a bond issue of $75,000 for
a municipal airport. After discussion, it was moved by Fred Me-
Cleskey, seconded by Reecie Jones, that the City Council pass a
resolution ordering an election for a nunicipal airport to be held;
on July 7, 1942. The motion was carried.
Blanche Davis, City Water Collector, came before the Council
asking for a raise in salary. After discussion, it was moved by
C. A. McDonald, seconded by T. R. Moore, that her salary be raised,.
to $75.00 per month, effective June lot. Motion carried.
There being no other business at this time, the Council stood',
adjourned in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the call of
the Mayor.
