The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in djourned regular meeting on November 21, 1941, with Mayor J. T. lements presiding, and the following aldermen present: C. A. cDonald, Fred N.cCleskey, Dan Goodgame, Doyle V-hite, L. Riggins, nd Dan Lane. Business was called for by the Mayor. Bob Henson, Telefus awyer, and Fount Taylor, representatives from the Chamber of ommerce, appeared before the Council asking the City for a da- ation of $100.00 for Christmas lighting. On discussion, a motioi as made by Doyle White, seconded by Fred YcCleskey, that the Cit; of make a donation, but would agree to pay the light bill. Mr. Fount Taylor stated that he had purchased Lot 1, Block 3, City Addition, containing some three or more acres, and that e wentdd to out same up into 16 lots and deed a street along the ast side of the lot a distance of some 285 feet and turning west ntersecting Dublin street, if the City would install grater and ewer to each of the lots. It was moved by L. Riggins, seconded y Dan Lane, that the City accept Mr. Taylor's proposal provided e make a 40 foot street on the east and through the south part o he lot. Mayor Clements presented an ordinance, agreement, and contract om the State Highway Department on the construction of Highway 108 in the City Limits on North Graham Street. It was moved by ed McCleskey, seconded by C. A. McDonald, that the ordinance etc approved according to instructions. (Same being hereto attached d being a part of these minutes). Mayor Clements reported that Raymond Proffitt had been using ore than his allowance of $10.00 worth of gasoline per month. fter discussion, it was moved by Dan Lane, seconded by Doyle hits, that Mr. Proffitt be allowed $15.00 worth of gasoline per onth instead of worth, if needed. Motion carried. /O.00 There being no further business at this time, the Council tood adjourned in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the ayor's call. q� Mayor. City Secretary.
