That the Idlayor of the City of Stephenville be and he
is hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of
tile City of Stephenville r ith tine COLl-aissioners' Court of Frath
County, Texas, .rovidir� for the use of the ire trucks and
other fire fighting equi-rrhent of the City of Stephenville
for tiie Durpose of fi Ltin,� fires outside the City Limits of
the City of Ste_henville. It shall be provided in such con-
.,ract entered into b.-IT the Mayor on behalf of the City of Ste-
rrnenville Uat the advisability of f.ightinS such fires in
each individual instance shall be determined by the Fire Chief
of the City of Stephenville and no obligation to fight such
fires shall be placed by such contract on the Cit* of Stephen-
ville. It shall be specifically set out in such contract
that it is entered into by virtue of Article I1351a-1 of the
Revised Civil Statutes of tiie State of Teas and the City of
Stephenville shall be by such contract as well as by said
Statute exempted froLi liability for the acts of any of its
employees %vhila engaged in figiitins fires outside the City
Limits or traveling to or from fires outside the City Limits
or in any manner fu-rnishin> fire protection to the citizens
of Lrath County outside the City Li_its outside the City of
Sterdienville and that any such acts shall be considered as
the acts of the agents of Erath County in all respects.

This ordinance being out to a vote, same duly carried.
