September 29, 1941.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in
an adjourned regular meeting on September 29, 1941. Members
present were L. Riggins,Mayor Pro-Tem, presiding, and Aldermen
Dan Lane, Fred McCleskey, Doyle White, Dan Goodgame, Chas. Neble
Jr., and C. A. McDonald.
The meeting was held in the basement of the Courthouse in
the Chamber of Commerce offices. Mr. L. W. Phillips, Secretary
of the Chamber of Commerce, stated to the Council that the right
of -Way on North Graham Street was complete with the exception of
the following owners: Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Stone, Mr. and Mrs.
W. L. Rowell, Mr. R. F. Gurney, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Howell, and Mr.
A. B. Gamble.
It was moved by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by Doyle White,
that the City Attorney start condemnation suits at once on the
above named property owners. The motion was carried.
There being no further business, the Council stood adjourne
in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call.
