HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-05-06 Regular MeetingStephenville, Texas May 6, 1941. The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in reg- ular session on May 6, 1941, with Mayor J. W. Clements presiding and the following Aldermen present: Dan Lane, C. A. McDonald, T. T. Oliver, Fred McCleskey, J. D. Goodgame, L. niggins, Chas. Neblett Jr., and Doyle White. i Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved. It was moved by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by C. A. McDonald, that private residences renting not more than two individual roomil be allowed the special water rate for the summer. Motion carrieda n It was moved by Doyle White, seconded by Fred McCleskey, than the Mayor be authorized to sell H. D. Barham the City Trade Lot for $3330.00, delivery on or about September 1, 1941. Motion carried. Election of a Mayor-ProTem was had and L. Riggins was nomin- ated and duly elected. It was moved by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by C. A. McDonald, that all Revenue Bonds 1938 be called for payment bn June 1, 1941,E to be paid from Revenue Bonds 1938 and balance out of the Water Works Operating Fund. Motion carried. It was moved by C. A. McDonald, seconded by Dan Lane, that Roy Miller, fire truck driver, be p aid W675.00 per month, beginni49 May 1, 1941. The motion was carried. It was moved by Fred McCleskey, seconded by Doyle White, that all City Employees be re-employed at present salaries. Motion carried. f Bills and accounts were read and on motion by C. A. McDonald,, seconded by L. Riggins, were allowed and ordered paid. There being no further business, the Council stood adjourned in an ad- 1 journed regular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call.
