February 3, 1941.
The City Council,of the City of Stephenville, met in regular
session on the 3rd of February, 1941, with Mayor J. W. Clements
presiding and the following Aldermen present: Jack Henderson,
Chas. Neblett Jr., Fred McCloskey, H. D. Barham, Doyle White,
T. T. Oliver and L. Riggins.
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.
Mrs. H. A. Mothershed and others came before the Council
asking that the city taxes levied against the Twentieth Century
Club for the year 1940 be cancelled. It was moved by Chas. Neble
Jr., seconded by Jack Henderson that such taxes be cancelled.
The motion was carried.
After hearing the report of Chief of Police, Frank Henson, i
regard to the financial condition of Mrs. Ira Dunn, in regard to
.paying water bills, it was moved by Doyle White, seconded by Fred
McCloskey, that Mrs. Dunn be placed on the free water list of the
Water Department. Motion carried.
It was moved by L. Riggins, seconded by Fred McCloskey, that
Dr. J. J. Mulloy be appointed City Health Officer. The motion wa
carried.
It was moved by Doyle White, seconded by L. Riggins, that
Buster White be paid $75.00 per month. The motion was carried.
The plumbers bonds of E. E. Posey and R. J. Rhoades
presented for approval. It was moved by Fred McCleskey,
by L. Riggins, that such bonds be accepted and approved.

;seconded by Fred McCleskey, were allowed and ordered paid.

There being no further business, the Council stood adjourned
an adjourned regular meeting subject to the Mayor's call.
