AN ORDINANCE MAKING A PART OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE LAND ADJACENT THERETO AND
BEING A 1.001 ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE HENRY PEARSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO.
613, IN ERATH COUNTY, TEXAS, WHICH IS DESCRIBED BELOW AND WHICH JOINS THE PRESENT
CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE AND WHICH ORDINANCE FULLY DESCRIBES SAID
LAND:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS:
�\ That certain land adjacent to the City of Stephenville and adjoining same
l and specifically described as follows:
All that certain 1.001 acres out of the Henry Pearson Survey, A-613, and
being same land called 1 acre in Deed to J.B. Morrow, dated March 30,
1936, and recorded in Vol. 246, page 444, Deed Records of Erath County,
Texas, and the 1.001 acres being described as follows:
Beginning at an iron rod set in South right of way of U.S. Highway No.
377, from which point the NWC of Quail Run Subdivision, at NWC of Bosque
Road, according to Plat recorded in Vol. 2, page 50, Plat Records of Erath
County, Texas bears N. 65-50-16 E. 204.85 feet, for the NEC of this tract;
Thence S 23-37-49 E. 211.24 feet to an iron rod set for the SEC of said 1
acre and the SEC of this tract;
Thence S. 63-05-51 W. 205.19 feet to an iron rod set for the SWC of said
1 acre and the SWC of this tract;
Thence N. 23-34-23 W. with West line of the 1 acre tract, 213.66 feet to
an iron rod set in highway right-of-way, for the NWC of this tract;
Thence with highway right of way, along a curve to the right, having a
radius of 5679.58 feet and central angle of 02 deg. 04 min., an arc
distance of 204.86 feet (long chord bears N. 63-46-12 E. 204.85 feet) to
the place of beginning, containing 1.001 acres.
is hereby received into the City Limits of the City of Stephenville and made a
part of the City of Stephenville and the City Limits of the City of Stephenville
are hereby extended in accordance with the lines and the description of the
parcels of land hereinabove described.
The above described land is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of
Stephenville by virtue of petition presented to the City Council of the City of
Stephenville which petition was signed by J. Willard Morrow who is the owner of
the property, and duly sworn to by him; and there being no inhabitants or
qualified voters presently residing within the boundaries of said 1.001 acre
tract of land; and all action having been taken by the City Council of the City
of Stephenville as required by the statutes of the State of Texas and by the
charter of the City of Stephenville and hearing having been held as required by
said statutes and by the charter.
The City Council, having a quorum present at this meeting of December 1,
1992, motion was duly made and duly seconded that this ordinance pass, and upon
vote, said motion carried unanimously. This ordinance shall go into effect
immediately and the above described land is hereby declared to be annexed and the
same is declared to be a part of the City of Stephenville.
PASSED and APPROVED this 1st day of December, 1992.
