City .of Stephenville, Texas, met in
on September 25, 1940, with Mayor
the following aldermen present: T. T
Neblett Jr., Fred McCloskey, Jack
Mr. G. A. Tunnell came before the Council asking that the
City sell part mf Block No. 8 to the R. E. A. for the purpose of
erection of an office building. After discussion, it was moved
by Fred McCleskey, seconded by Chas. Neblett Jr., that the City
offer to the R.. E. A. the south 104 feet of lot now owned by the
City in Block no. 8, City Addition, at a value of $100,00. The
motion was carried.
Election Order and Notice of Election for a Water Softner
was submitted by City Attorney Joseph A. Chandler for approval.
Alderman Jack Henderson introduced a resolution and order and
moved its adoption (as per attached to these minutes). The motion
was seconded by B. D. Hamilton and duly carried.
