At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Stephenville, Te s, eld at the City Hall of said city, on the
°� day of , 1940, there came on to be considered
y le City counem, the tax rate and levy of taxes for the year
1940, and after discussion there was introduced in the Council
the following ordinance, to -wit:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS:
That the tax rate in said City for the year 1940 is hereby i
fixed at and .-0• cents on the $100,00 valuation of all
taxable proper y s i t_a_a_E_e"2Fwithin the limits of said City.
That there is hereby levied upon all taxable property within';
the limits of said City and subject to taxation therein for the
year 1940, a tax of $ and .�_O cents on the $100.00 valuatiqn
of all of said proper y, w ich Taxas hereby levied shall be
collected as is provided by law and the ordinance of said City an4
which tax is hereby apportioned to the various funds of the City "

That this ordinance be in full force and effect from and
after its passage.

therefore declared to be in full force and effect from and after
