Council of the City of Steph villa, Texas, met in a regular
meeting, with the following members present:�,,,�����,i�
and said above named constituted a majority and a quorum of the
present City Council, and the meeting was called to order by the
Mayor, and thereupon the following proceedings were had:

appointed as members of the Equalization Bo^arof the City of
Stephenville, with alternates
and , for the year 1940, and the question''.
being called for, a vote was taken and the said above named par-
ties were unanimously elected by said City Council as members of
said Board of Equalization, and thereupon Alderman
moved that the following Ordinance be enacted
the City Council of the City of Stephenville, to -wit:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHEN-
VILLE, TEXAS:
Sec. 1. That the Board of Equalization, heretofore on this
day appointed by the City Council of the City of Stephenville,
proceed to perform their duties according to law, and the date ofl
the first meeting of said Board of Equalization is hereby fixed
on the * day a of ��,�¢� , A. D., 1940, at whic�l

.time said Board of Equalization shall hold its first meeting in
the City Hall in the City of Stephenville, Texas.
Sec. 2. That said Board may have such other meetings as are"
provided by law and as may be required to lawfully perform their
duties as such board.

The motion to pass said ordinance was seconded by Alderman
and after its discussion the question
was called for, and a vote was taken, and the foregoing ordinance':i
was unanimously passed by said City Council, all Dldermen presentli
voting in favor of said ordinance.
