The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned' regular meeting on the above date, with the following members present: Mayor J. W. Clements, Aldermen Chas. Neblett Jr., L. Riggins, Jack Henderson, Fred McC,leskey, T. T. Oliver, Doyle Whits, K. D. Hamilton and H. D. Barham. Mayor Clements stated that the purpose of the meeting was to, consider W. P. A. Project to build Storm Sewer from McIlhaney Avenue to Clinton Avenue. It was moved by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by Doyle White, that the Council accept and approve the W. P. A. Storm Sewer Prlject as above stated. Motion carried. It was moved by Fred McCleskey, seconded by K. D. Hsnilton, that the City purchase Rock Asphalt for W. P. A. Street Paving Project from Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company. Motion carried. There being no further business, the Council stood adjourned'. in an adjourned regular meeting subject to the Mayor Ts call. The City Council of the City of Stephenville met in ahead- journed regular meeting on the 14th of May, 1940, with Mayor Clements and the following Aldermen present: L. Riggins, Doyle White, Chas. Neblett Jr., T. T. Oliver, H. D. Barham, Fred Mc- Cleskey, B. D. Hamilton and Jack Henderson. It was moved by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by Doyle White, that the City retain L. W. Phillips on W. P. A. Street Paving Project for three months or so long as needed at salary of $50.00'. per month, j_;eginning June 1, 1940. Motion carried. Members present: Mayor!' Clements, Fred McCleskey, H. D. Barham, Doyle White, K. D. Hamiltl'n, L. Riggins and Chas. Neblett Jr. Mayor Clements stated that the purpose of the meeting was to sonsider resolumtion of State Highway Department on Highway 68, j after which it was moved by Chas.
