The City Council of Stephenville met in an adjourned reFular
eeting on August 30, 1939, v!ith Mayor Clark and the following
ldermen present: E. D. Hamilton, T. T. Oliver, Chas. Neblett dr.
red BTcCleskey, L. niggins, H. D. Barham, Jack Henderson, and Geo.
inter.
Yayor Clark stated that the purpose of the meeting was to
iscuss the matter of employing an engineer for the City paving
roject. after discussion, no action was taken in thp. matter.
L. Higrins, Chairman of the Street Committee, re-erted that
all streets running north and south had been marked and numbered
as Avenuse and all streets running cast and west as streets. A
motion w9s made by Chas. Yeblett Jr., seconded by Geo. Minter, th
the City Attorney draw an ordinance designating such streets and
avenues as above stated. Motion carried.
A motion was made b;; H. D. Barham, seconded by T. T. Oliver,
that the Finance Committee make sale of it Lot 4, Block 66, City
Addition. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the Council stood adjourned
Mayor.
