The regular meeting of the City Council of Stephenville, Texas, was held on the 6th of June, 1939, with Mayor Henry Clark and the following aldermen present: L. Higgins, Geo. Minter, Jack Henderson, T. T. Oliver, Chas. Neblett Jr., Fred McCleskey, H. D. Barham, and K. D. Hamilton. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Purchase of the water line west of the City Limits, from the'; Stephenvillepttate Bank Trustee, was discussed, after which a motion was made by Geo. Minter, seconded by Jack Henderson, that this line be bought at a price of $56.51 Motion carried.'! Mayor Clark excused himself from the meeting at this point, surrendering the chair to Jack Henderson, Mayor Protem. The plumbers bond of R. A. Biggs was presented for approval.'. A motion was made by K. D. Hamilton, seconded by Fred McCleskey, that such bond be accepted and approved. Motion carried. Bills and accounts were read and on motion by T. T. Oliver, seconded by Fred McCleskey, were allowed and ordered paid. There being no further business, the Council stood adjourned'. ATTEST: ayor. Secretary.
