D, 1939, the City Council of the city of Step env 1. e, 'I as, met in a regular meeting, with the following members present: %j//1�/er- G��'Ize and said above named constituted a majority and a quorum of the present Citt` Couneil, and the meeting was called to order by the N,ayor, and thereupon the following proceedings were had: It was moved by Alderman ZJa �aN� f Ay seconded by Alderman �° QS, y1P,�le7�l� , that A p/'1�/�i and ! c2i�! J/a}fr%/P j - be appointed as members of the Equalization Board of the City of Stephenville, with alternates , and , for the year 1939, and the question being called for, a vote was taken and the said above named partie were unanimously elected by said City Council as members of said Board of Equal.ization, and thereupon. Alderman moved that the following Ordinance be enacted by the City Council'' of the City bf Stephenville, to -wit: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS: Sec. 1. That the Board of Equalization, heretofore on this day appointed by the City Council of the City of Stephenville, i ;proceed to perform their duties according to law, and the date of the first meeting of said Board of Equalization is hereby fixed on the / (p d 0 days of O fu ZZ -e , A. D. ,1939,; at which time said Board of Equalization shall hold its first 4neeting in the City Hall in the City of Stephenville, Texas. Sec. 2. That said Board may have such other meetings as are iprotided by law and as may be required to lawfully perform their duties as such board. Sec. 3. That this ordinance be in effect from and after its passage. The motion to pass said ordinance was seconded by Alderman �. /llGCi/biS _, and after its discussion the question was called for, and a vote was taken, and the foregoing ordinance was unanimously passed by said City Council, all Aldermen present voting in favor of said ordinance.
