HomeMy WebLinkAbout1939-05-02 Water UsageStephenville, Texas May 5, 1939. The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned egular meeting on the above date. Members present: Mayor Henry lark, Aldermen Chas. Neblett Jr., I.K. D. Hamilton, H. D. Barham, eo. Minter, L. Rig^ins, T. T. Oliver, Jack Henderson and Fred cCleskey. The matter of water rates for large water users was discusses er which a motion was made bIT Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by d McCleskey, that water users who use 30,000 gallons or more charged a ininumum of 1-11',1.50 for the first 2000 gallons and 20� thousand for all water above minimum. All users of 100,000 more be charged 18¢ per thousand with no minimum. The motion carried. A motion was made by Fred McCleskey, seconded by T. T. Olive: t $25,000.00 insurance be taken on the Recreation Hall. Motioi ried. A motion was made by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by H. D. m, that the management of the Recreation Hall and Swimming be placed to the authority of the Park Coaunittee. Motion ed. A raise in salary of Oran McMains was discussed, and a motio made by H. D. Barham, seconded by Chas. Neblett Jr., that L.r. .ins be raised from $60.00 to $75.00 per month, beginning on lst, 1939. Motion carried. Election of City employees was taken up, after which a motioi made by Geo-. Minter, seconded by L. Higgins, that all City loyees be re-elected to their respective positions at salaries of present date. Motion carried. There being no further business, the Council stood adjourned an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call. Mayor.
