At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Stephenville,Texas held at the City Hall of said city in
Stephenville, Texas, on the day of _1938, there
came on to be considered bq die -sty council the tax rate and
levy of taxes for the year 1938, and after discussion there was
introduced in the Council the following ordinance, to -wit:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
STEPHENVILLE TEXAS:
That th tax rate in said City for the year 1938 is hereby
fixed at �� and LSD C'e r j 5 on the $100.00
valuation or all taxable property situated within the limits of
said city.
That there is hereby levied upon all taxable property within '!
the limits of said oit and subject to taxation therein for the
ear 1938,a tax of oa and ,SS fl Ceh4on the
100.00 valuation or all of sa —property., which ax as hereby
levied shall be collected as ifLprovided by law and the ordinance
of said City and which tax is hereby apportioned to the various
funds of the City as folloes:

That this ordinance be in full force and effect from and
after its passage.
It was moved by Alderman %n, 7 CliVe r , seconded by
Alderman ChdS, 44, Jy- that said ordinance do pass and after
futher discussion the question was called for and the motion
was put to a vote and the Council voted unanimously in favor
of the passage of said ordinance, and said ordinance is there-
fore declared to be in full force and effect from and after
this date.
