The City Council of the City of Stephenville met in an ad- journed regular session on May 16, 1938, with the following mem- bers present: Mayor Henry Clark, Aldermen R. B. Bassel, Chas. Neblett Jr, Geo. Minter, K. D. Hamilton, Jack Henderson, J. C. Holcomb, T. T. Oliver, and H. D. Barham. Mayor Clark stated that the meeting was to consider paying ..part of architect account of Wyatt C. Hedrick, buIring a Truck, and sale of Recreation Hall and Swimming Pool bonds. . The account of Wyatt C. Nedrick for payment of $1500.00 on aecoUnt was read, after which a motion was made by R. B. Bassel, ji seconded by J. C. Holcomb, that said account be paid as presented: (this account to be paid from the Recreation Hall & Swimming Pool building fund). Motion carried. The motion made by Chas. Neblett Jr. and seconded by R. B. Bassel that the Council go into an executive session was carried.! After discussion of the matter of sale of Park & Swimming Pool bonds, motion was made by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by J. C. Holcomb, that the City sell to Wm. N. Edwards & Co., City of Stephenville, Texas, Revenue Bonds, series 1938, aggregating $350000.000 at par, plus a premium of $486.50, with accrued interest to date, and all expenses of Attorney fees to be paid by the purchaser. The motion was put before the Council and duly' carried as follows: Ayes 8; Noes 0. Bids on various makes of trucks were opened and read. Motion was made by J. C. Holcomb, seconded by Chas. Neblett Mr. that the;, City purchase a Ford Truck, same to be paid from the General Fundy Motion carried. The matter of buying a gas pump and tank was discussed, after which motion was made by K. D. Hamilton, seconded by T. T. Oliver,;, that the City purchase such pump and tank. Motion carried. Motion was made by R. B. Bassel, seconded by K. D. Hanilton,' that the Building Committee buy all tools and supplies as needed for work at the Recreation Hall. Motion carried. A motion was maae by R. B. Bassel, seconded by H. D. Barham,., that the Park Committee have the poultry building at the City Part! wrecked and moved to the City Water Works grounds. Motion carried.
