The City Council of Stephenville met in an adjourned (night) ;I lar meeting on the above date, with the followin4g members prea@nt: r Clark, T. T. Oliver, J. C. Holcomb, B. D. Hamilton.. Goo. Min*er, C. L. Cromwell. Mayor Clark stated that the meeting was to hear vatious oiti rose their attitude in regard to the City -donating the St of B to Chas. S. Long for the purpose of erecting a hotel to cost s .000.00 or $402000.00. After discussion, a motion was made by T. T. Oliver, seconded C. L. Cromwell, that the City Council retire into an executive sion to consider the matter. Motion carried. The matter was adjourned until April S. 1938. 1 Mayor. Secretary. Stephenville, Texas April S. 1938. The City Council net in an adjourned regular meeting on the th of April, 1938, with Mayor Henry Clark and the following Alder+ an present: Goo. Minter, J. C. Holcomb, K. D. Hamilton, T. T. liver, C. L. Cromwell, and R. B. Bassel. The purpose of the meeting was to further consider the propos* tion of Chas. S. Long to erect a Hotel on the Si Block 13, City ddition. An option offered by Mr. Long was read, and on motion y Goo. Minter, seconded by T. T. Oliver, said option was accepted',; y the Council. ( Option attached and being a part of these Inutes). Pas-4_� aer_ A motion was made by J. C. Holcomb, seconded by R. B. Bassel,; at the above mention property shall not be used for any other rpose than for the erection of a Hotel, and that there shall be signated 12 feet through this block from East to west for an 1 ley, 6 feet to be set apart from the South half and 6 feet to bed' t apart from the North half. -Notion carried. A bill for treatment of Jack Cashon, sad for approval. Motion was made by R. . T. Oliver, that the account be allowed I from Dr. Terrell, was B. Bassel, seconded by j and ordered paid. Motion
