The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in regular session of the first day of February, 1938, with Mayor Clark and the following Aldermen present: J. 0. Blakeney, T. T. Oliver, K. D. Hamilton, G. L. Cromwell, Geo. Minter, and R. B. Bassel. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Mr. L. V. Orr came before the Council in regard to repairs and painting the water tower and tank. The matter was deferred until next regular meeting. After discussion of the ordinance in regard to parking on Washington Street on North side of Public School Grounds, a motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney, seconded by C. L. Cromwell, that said,: ordinance be accepted and passed as read. Motion duly carried (Ordinance attached and being a part of these minutes). Motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney, seconded by Geo. Minter, that Mayor Clark be empowered to make contract with Texas Power '& Light Company in behalf of the City of Stephenville for power ,to operate City Rock Crusher. Motion carried. Bills and accounts were read, and on motion by J. 0. Blakeney, seconded by T. T. Oliver, were allowed and ordered paid. The Council then stood adjourned in an adjourned regular meeting,fubject to the Mayor's call. Mayor. . Secretary. (Over) "q- BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHEN- :VILLE: SECTION ONE: It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle on Washington Street between its intersection with Baxter Street and the East line of the Public School ground, said School ground lying South of Washington Street and East of Baxter Street SECTION TWO: Any person who violates Section One of this ordinance shall upon conviction be punished by a fine of not less than One ($1.00 DOLLAR nor more than One Hundred ($100.00) DOLLARS. The foregoing ordinance was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Stephenville on the lot day of February, 1938, and the same is in force from and after its publication.
