September 7, 1937.
The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in regular sessil
ion on the 7th of September, 1937, there being present Mayor Henr*
Clark, and the following aldermen: R. B. Bassel, T. T. Oliver,
C. L. Cromwell, Geo. Minter, and J. C. Holcomb.
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
The annual budget of the City was presented and read by the
Secretary. A motion was made by T. T. Oliver, seconded by J. C.
Holcomb, that the budget be accepted and approved as read. Moti
carried.
The bid of Mr. Carl Zeeck to audit tax collections and water
works collections was read, after which a motion was made by J. C
Holcomb, seconded by C. L. Cromwell, that Mr. Zeeck be employed t
audit such accounts and be paid $95.00 for such work. Motion
carried.
The matter of laying 6 inch water main on McNeill Street froth
southwest corner of Public Schoolsground west as far as needed wao
discussed. After discussion, a motion was made by C. L. Cromwell"
seconded by J. C. Holcomb, that this work be done. Motion earriea.
Bills and accounts were read and on motion by R. B. Bassel,
seconded by J. C. Holcomb, were allowed and ordered paid. There
being no further business, the Council stood adjourned in an ad-
journed regular meeting, subject to the call of the Mayor.
