June 14, 1937,
The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned,,
regular meeting on the above date, with the following members
present: Mayor Clark, aldermen J. C. Holcomb, C. L. Cromwell,
George Minter, T. T. Oliver, and R. B. Bassel.
Mayor Clark stated the meeting was to hear ?,?r. Baker in re-
gard to information about the P. W. A. aid in building the Re-
creation Hall.
After hearing Mr. Baker, a motion was made by R. B. Bassel,
seconded by George Minter, that the City Council accept m . Baker

proposition in regard to building Recreation Hall, also, to guar-!!
antes P. W. A. that the City would transfer $3,000.00 to the
W35,000.00 bond issue, said 93,000.00 to be transfered from the
,'rater Works Operating Fund. Vote was called for, there being 3
yeas, 1 no, and 1 not voting, after which the motion was declared,
duly carried.
There being no further business, the Council stood adjournedr
