The City Council, of the City of Stephenville, met in regular session on the 2nd day of March, 1937, with Mayor Henry Clark and the following aldermen present: K. D. Hamilton, R. B. Bassel, T. T. Oliver, J. 0. Blakeney, George Minter, C. L. Cromwell, J. C. Holcomb, and H. C. Martin. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. The applications for Social Service Clerk were read and a vote on on applicants was had. Mrs. Floy Young received the highest vote and was declared elected to the position at a salary of $12.00 per week. The building of a storm sewer on the North side of Block 16, City Addition, was discussed, after which a motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney, seconded by H. C. Martin, that the Council award a contract for this work to H. L. Arnold for the sum of $375.00, all labor and material to be furnished by Mr. Arnold. Motion carried. A motion was made by George Minter, seconded by J. 0. Blak- eney, that the City assume payment of the Security Account assessment of Bob Feagan and W. C. Ingley. Motion carried. Bills and accounts were mead, and on motion by R. B. Bassel, seconded by J. C. Holcomb, were allowed and ordered paid. The Council then stood adjourned in an adjo73rned regular meetin sub- ject to the call of the Mayor. AT T Mayor. City Secretary. Stephenville, Texas. March 5, 1937. The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned regular meeting on March 5th, 1937, with the following members present: Mayor Henry Clark, aldermen H. C. Martin, R. B. Bassel, K. D. Hamilton, C. L. Cromwell, T. T. Oliver, George Minter, and J. 0. Blakeney. C Mayor Clark stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider the sale of Lot 3 and East one-half of Lot 4, Block 16, City Addition, to R. E. and C. E. Martin. After discussion of the matter, a motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney, seconded by T. T. Oliyer, that the attached resolution be passed, same being a part of these minutes. A motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney, seconded by H. C. Martin, that the City Council place the sale of Lot F, Block 8, City Ad- dition, in the hands of the Finance Committee. Motion carried. There being no further business, the council adjourned in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call. Mayor.
