The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned regular meeting on the 3rd day of February, 1937. Members present were Mayor Clark, J. 0. Blakeney, C. L. Cromwell, R. B. Bassel, George Minter, and K. D. Hamilton. Mayor Clark stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider Water and Sewer Contract with the Fort Worth Poultry & Egg Co. After discussion of the contract, a motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney, seconded by K. D. Hamilton, that said contract be accepted and approved. Motion carried. The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned 'regular meeting on February 17, 1937, with the following members resent: Mayor C1ark,'R. B. Bassel, J. 0. Blakeney, T. T. Oliver, X. D. Hamilton, George Minter, and C. L. Cromwell, The Mayor stated that the meeting was to consider an offer Iof the Fort Worth Poultry & Egg Co. to purchase the North half of $lock 16, City Addition, now owned by the City of Stephenville, at ,a consideration of-$1,000.00. A motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney, 'seconded by K. D. Hamilton, that the City sell said Company the property at a price of $1,000.00. The motion duly carried. (A ;copy of the resolution attached to these minutes and.,being a part thereof) . A motion was made by R. B. Bassel, seconds b y J. 0. Blakeney, fihat a six-inch water line be extended on EaatqVJTStreet to Minter Street; thence south to Crow Street; thence west on Crow Street to South Graham Street. Motion carried. A motion was made by R. B. Bassel, seconded by George Minter, that the City Put on a full time Social Service Clerk at a salary of $12.00 per week. Motion carried. 33'. On motion by C. L. Cromwell, seconded by T. T. Oliver, the matter of employment of the Social Service Clerk was postponed until neat regular meeting. Motion carried. Stephenville, Texas February 20, 1937. The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned regular meeting on the above date, with Mayor Henry Clark, and the following Aldermen present: J. 0. Blakeney, C. L. Cromwell, George Minter, J. C. Holcomb, K. D. Hamilton, and R. B. Bassel. The Mayor explained that the meeting was to consider leasing to the County a lot for the purpose of storing County machinery and supplies. A motion was made by C. L. Cromwell, seconded by J. 0. Blakeney, that the City lease to Erath County the North part of Block 57, on S. Graham St. The motion duly carried. The Council then stood adjourned, in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call. ATTEST::/f} City Secretary. Stephenville, Texas February 27, 1937. The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, together with a representative number of the business men, met in the Chamber of Commerce office on February 27, 1937, and listened to a discussion of the possibilities of U. S. Highway No. 67, by Col. Jack DeLysle, *ho is President of the International Highway Association. After listening to the discussion, a motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney, and seconded by , that the City of Step- henville join this association an pay a amount of $220.00 fee for a life membership. The motion carried, and an executive com- mittee was appointed. Mayor Henry Clark, Chairman J. 0. Blakeney, Secretary J. W. Clements C. W. Bryant L. W. Phillips Dr. C. L. Cromwell H. M. Everett.
