Yinter and H C Uartin. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. d Business %^,as called for by the mayor, after which motion was made by R B Bassel second by Geo, h^inter that the three buildings at the City Park be painted, the motion was duly carried. II mh_e �ljnauent. tax roll for the year 1935 was i presentee by thp,.tax 6ollector for approval, motion was made by K D Hamilton second by T T Oliver that the roll be accepted and approved, the motion was carried. II Bids for depository of City funds were opened and j read, after which motion was made by R B Bassel second by H C Martin that bid of $2.00 per year as bid by Stephenville State Bank be accepted, and that the Stephenville State Bank be designated as City Depository for the year 1936-37, the motion was put before the house and duly carried. .I Depository bond of Stephenville State Bank was presented for approval, motion wqs made by Geo. Minter second by R B Bassel that said bond be accepted and approved, the motion was duly carried. The matter of improvements to be made on Erath street was discussed after which motion was made by R B Bassel second by Geo. Minter that the chairman of street committee be instructed to make suck improvements as needed on this street, the motion was carried. Request of Roy Stafford asking that the value of the Brundrett property be reduced for the years 1933- 1934 and 1935 was read, motion was made by C L Cromwell second by Geo. Minter that the value on this property be j reduced to $1,000.00 for the above mentioned years, the motion was carried. Bills and ,lccts. were read and on motion by Y, D Hamilton second by R B Bassel zrere allowed and ordered paid. The City of Stephenville (herein called the "Applicant"), "hereby makes application to the United States of America through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public :'corks (herein 'called the "Government"), for a grant for the purpose of aiding in financing the construction and equipping of a park, swimming pool and a recreation building, (herein called the "Project") the ,total cost of which is estimated to be '$ In the event this application is approved and the Government' offers to assist in financing the construction of the Project, the, ,Applicant, if it accepts such offer, will provide funds in an J amount which, together with the grant, will, in the judgment of t* Applicant and the Federal Emergency Administrator of Public VW''orks be sufficient to construct the Project, such additional funds to be provided by the Applicant in an amount and in a manner satis- ..factory to the Applicant and to the said Administrator. APPLICATION RESOLUTION RESOLUTION NO. 25 A resolution, authorizing the Yayor of the City of Stephen- ville, Texas, to -wit, the Honorable Henry Clark, to file an application to the United States of America, through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public '.corks, for a grant to aid in financing the construction and equipping of a park, swimming pool and a recreation building, and designating Henry Clark, Mayor, to furnish such information as the Government may request. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S TEAS: SECTION ONE. That Henry Clark, Mayor of said City, be, and he is author- ized to execute and sign an application on behalf of the City of Stephenville, Texas, to the United States of America for a grant to aid in financing the construction and equipping of a park, swimming pool and a recreation building. SECTION T':0. That Henry Clark, Mayor of the City of Stephenville, be, and! is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such information as the United States of America, through the Federal Emergency Ad- ministration of Public ';forks, may reasonably request in connection with the application which is herein authorized to be filed. i CERTIFICATE OF CITY SECRETARY ;I I, C. C. Davis, the duly elected, qualified and acting City Secretary of the City of Stephenville, do hereby certify that I have compared the attached copy of a resolution entitled: "A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of Stephenville, Texas, to -wit, the Honorable Henry Clark, to file an application to the United States of America, through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public l+orks, for a grant to aid in financing the construction and equipping of a park, swimming pool and a recreation building, and designating Henry Clark, Mayor, to furnish such in- formation as the Government may request," with the original of such resolution on file in my office, and that the same is a true and correct copy of such resolution, which was regularly adopted at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Stephenville, duly held on the 3rd day of August, 1936.
