The City Council of the City of Stephenville met in regular
sessicn or. the 5th day of January, 1937, with ?'ayor Henry Clark
.nd the following aldermen present: H. C. Partin, K. D. Hamilton,
T. T. Cliver, C. L. Cromwell, Geo. Winter, J. C. Holcomb, J. 0.
Blakeney, and A. B. Bascel.
Minutes of last meeting were read and opprovcd.
Blanche Davis, Collector for the City 'Later Works, came before
the Council asking for a raise in .:,lacy. Motion was made by J.
0. 31ahoney, seconded by T. D. Hatiilton, that her sAlary be raised
to 160.00 per month. Lotion carried.
Applications fop temporary Chief of Police were read, after
which motion was made by H. B. 3assel, seconded by J. 0. 31akeney,
'that Luther Brandon be appointed temporary Chief of Police, at a
salary of 43.00 per day. Motion carried.
.. motion was made by C. L. Cromwell, seconded by R. B. Bassel.,
thot'the services of Pop. cloy loung be discontinued. Motion
carried.
Bills and accounts were read and on motion by Geo. Pointer,
seconded by 7. D. Hamilton, were alloyed and order:.d paid.
