City of Stephenville - City Council
Thursday, October 26, 2017, 5:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, convened on October 26, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., in
the Council Chambers at City Hall, 298 West Washington Street, for the purpose of a Special Business
Meeting and Council Work Session, with the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting,
giving the date, time, place and subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551,
Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated, with the following members present, to wit:

Special City Council Meeting
I. Call to Order
Mayor Weldon called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m.
II. EXECUTIVE SESSION. In compliance with the provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Law,
Subchapter D, Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes, Annotated, in accordance with Section
551.087 - Deliberations Regarding Economic Development Negotiations — Project Blue
III. Action taken in executive session (if necessary)
The council reconvened in open session at 6:13.
IV. Adjourn
The Special City Council Meeting was adjourned at 6:13.
Council Work Session
Call to Order
Mayor Weldon called the work session to order at 6:14
II. Visitor Center Performance Work Statement
The council held a discussion on the allocation of Hotel Occupancy Tax funds to fund visitor center
services and increase tourism to Stephenville.
Allen Barnes, City Administrator, asked that the Chamber of Commerce's contract be extended
by an additional 30-60 days to allow staff and council time to meet with the Chamber of
Commerce to finalize the performance measures.
III. Adjourn
The work session was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
