The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, convened on August 29, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 298 West Washington Street, for the purpose of a Special Council Meeting, with the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting, giving the date, time, place and subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated, with the following members present, to wit: Mayor Mayor Pro Tern Council members Absent Others Attending I. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. Jerry K. Weldon, II Doug Svien Mark McClinton Carla Trussell Alan Nix Sherry Zachery Jerry Warren Rhett Harrison Allen L. Barnes, City Administrator Randy Thomas, City Attorney Staci L. King, City Secretary II. EXECUTIVE SESSION. In compliance with the provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Law, Subchapter D, Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes, Annotated, in accordance with Section 551.087 - Deliberations Regarding Economic Development Negotiations: Project Blue III. Action taken on items discussed in executive session (if necessary) IV. Presentation — Project Blue Items II, III, and IV were removed from the agenda. Project Blue had almost 200 stores affected by Hurricane Harvey. Representatives will be present at the September 5, 2017 meeting. V. Approve Contract with Specialized Billing & Collection Systems of Texas for Ambulance Billing Services Jimmy Chew, Fire Chief, presented the council with the contract and recommended that it be renewed for a three-year period. MOTION by Mark McClinton, second by Alan Nix to execute the contract with Specialized Billing & Collection Systems of Texas for a period of three years. MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote. Special City Council Meeting —August 29, 2017 Page 1 of 2 VI. Consider Adopting Ordinance No. 2017-0-09 rezoning from R-3 Multiple Family Residential District to B-1 Neighborhood Business District, Lots 3A, 1B, 14B, and part of 14A, Block 16 of the 55400 Park Place Addition to the City of Stephenville, Erath County, Texas. The request for rezone was removed at the request of Carrie Pack, requestor. Randy Thomas, city attorney, stated that the request for withdrawal ends any action the council can take on the rezone and that the requestor must reapply with the Planning and Zoning Commission for any action to be taken.
