Brick Streets Discussion was held regarding the city's current brick streets and historical brick street designation. Nick Williams, Director of Public Works, sought input from council and the Planning and Zoning Commission as to where the city should continue using historic Thurber brick for paving, and what areas should be resurfaced with another method. The general consensus was that the bricks should definitely be included in the areas included in the city's historical district. Outside of that area, opinions differed as to what method would be best. The possibility of using Hotel Occupancy Tax Funds to cover brick paving costs was also discussed. Staff will bring a resolution to the council to officially designate the brick street districts. III. Future Land Use Discussion was held regarding the city's future land use plan. Dr. Richard Petronis, Planning and Zoning Commissioner, expressed interest in having a professional planner review the plan before any official action was taken. After much discussion, it was decided that the city's on -call engineering firm would review the future land use plan. Once that review was complete, the Planning and Zoning Commissi )n would review the plan in-depth, and then bring the draft plan to council. 0 IV.
