TE*As Committee Meeting and Work Session at 5:30 PM
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, convened on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at 6:07 PM, in the
City Hall Training Room, 298 West Washington Street, for the purpose of a Regular Business Meeting, with
the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting, giving the date, time, place and subject
thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes
Annotated, with the following members present, to wit:
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Doug Svien
Council Member Mark McClinton
Council Member Nick Robinson
Mayor Pro Tern Brady Pendleton
Council Member Ricky Thurman
Council Member Alan Nix
Council Member Gerald Cook
Council Member Brandon Huckabee
COUNCIL ABSENT: Council Member Carla Trussell
OTHERS ATTENDING: Allen L. Barnes, City Manager
Staci L. King, City Secretary
Randy Thomas, City Attorney
Call to Order
Mayor Svien called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m.
II. EXECUTIVE SESSION
In compliance with the provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Law, Subchapter D, Government
Code, Vernon's Texas Codes, Annotated, in accordance with
1. Section SS1.087 Deliberation Regarding Economic Development Negotiations - Project
CS and Associated TIRZ Agreement
Mayor Svien called the meeting into executive session at 6:07 p.m.
III. Action taken on items discussed in executive session (if necessary)
The meeting was called back into regular session at 7:09 p.m.
MOTION by Mark McClinton, second by Brandon Huckabee, to direct the TIRZ Board to dedicate
100% of the TIRZ revenue to the City of Stephenville to monetize a development project and
expand the boundaries of Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 1.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
