Special City Council Meeting
Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 5:30 PM
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, convened on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 5:30 PM, in
the Council Chambers at City Hall, 298 West Washington Street, for the purpose of a Special City Council
Meeting, with the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting, giving the date, time, place
and subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon's Texas
Codes Annotated, with the following members present, to wit:
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Doug Svien
Council Member Mark McClinton
Council Member Carla Trussell
Council Member Rhett Harrison
Council Member Alan Nix
Council Member Sherry Zachery
Council Member Brandon Huckabee
COUNCIL ABSENT: Mayor Pro Tern Brady Pendleton
OTHERS ATTENDING: Allen L. Barnes, City Manager
Staci L. King, City Secretary
Randy Thomas, City Attorney
I. Call to Order
Mayor Svien called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Il. Regular Agenda
1. Discuss and Consider Approval of Shade Structure Purchase
The Parks and Leisure Services committee met on February 11, 2019 to discuss the
purchase of bleacher shade structures. The committee gave a positive recommendation
to approve the purchase of 18 shade structures.
MOTION by Carla Trussell, second by Sherry Zachery, to approve the purchase of 18 shade
structures.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
2. Discuss and Consider Approval of Resolution No. 2019-R-06 NIBRS Grant
MOTION by Mark McClinton, second by Brandon Huckabee, to approve Resolution No.
2019-R-06 authorizing the police department to apply for the NIBRS grant.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
3. Discuss and Consider Approval of Resolution No. 2019-R-07 JAG Grant
MOTION by Alan Nix, second by Sherry Zachery, to approve Resolution No. 2019-R-07

authorizing the police department to apply for the Jag grant.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.

III. EXECUTIVE SESSION
In compliance with the provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Law, Subchapter D, Government
Code, Vernon's Texas Codes, Annotated, in accordance with

MOTION by Mark McClinton, second by Rhett Harrison, to approve a 380 Agreement with
SRH Hospitality.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
2. Section 551.072 Deliberations about Real Property
• Possible Acquisition of Land
No action taken.
