A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE,
TEXAS, URGING THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION TO COMMIT THE
LOCAL PARKS, RECREATION, AND OPEN SPACE FUNDS TO LOCAL PARKS
PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, see
a great need for local parks; and
WHEREAS, communities do not have sufficient local funds available
for park improvements; and
WHEREAS, local parks provide a wholesome atmosphere and gathering
place for all citizens, children, adults, and senior
citizens;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS:
1. That the Local Park Fund continue to be made available to
cities for building and renovating local parks.
2. That the one -cent cigarette tax which supports this fund
continue being collected and used for local parks
projects.
PASSED and APPROVED this 2nd day of June, 1992.
