WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville recognizes that our employees
are our greatest assets; and
WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville has adopted a comprehensive
handbook on employee policies which provides them certain
guarantees and benefits; and
WHEREAS, this resolution does not alter those guarantees; and
WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville works diligently in trying to
provide a safe and productive work environment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council realizes that the City organization must
have good management in order to carry out the policies
and laws of the governing body; and
WHEREAS, the management of the City must be allowed to operate
within the guidelines and parameters established by the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that Chief Jim Wade is
performing his job in accordance with the guidelines and
parameters of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to voice a vote of appreciation
and confidence in the professional job which our Police
Department is performing in providing for the security of
our city; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to proclaim that this resolution
supports the direction that Chief Wade and the
Stephenville Police Department are moving;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of
Stephenville does hereby adopt this resolution and
in so doing recognizes Chief Wade on his efforts
and gives him a vote of confidence.
