RESOLUTION NO. 2015-R-11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE ERATH COUNTY HAZARD
MITIGATION ACTION PLAN, JUNE 2015
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, recognizes the threat that natural hazards
pose to people and property within the City of Stephenville; and
WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville, Texas, has prepared a multi -hazard mitigation plan, hereby known as
Erath County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, June 2015 in accordance with the Disaster Mitigation Act of
2000; and
WHEREAS, Erath County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan, June 2015 identifies mitigation goals and actions
to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property in the City of Stephenville, Texas, from the
impacts of future hazards and disasters; and
WHEREAS, adoption by the City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, demonstrates its commitment
to the hazard mitigation and achieving the goals outlined in the Erath County Hazard Mitigation Action
Plan, June 2015.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. In accordance with its Charter, the City Council of the City of Stephenville adopts the Erath
County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan dated June 2015.
ADOPTED by a vote of 8 in favor, 0 against, and 0 abstaining, this 4tn day of August, 2015.
