RESOLUTION APPROVING FMC PROPERTY TAX AMENDMENT AND TO FOREGO TAXES DUE TO THE
CITY ON THE RESULTING REDUCED VALUE AND TOACCEPT A CORRECTED, CERTIFIED TAX ROLL FOR
2016 REFLECTING THE AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, FMC asserts that the property tax rendering on its plant and equipmentfor
tax year 2016 was overstated by Twenty Million, Three Hundred Seventy -One Thousand, Six
Hundred Eighteen and no/100 Dollars ($20,371,618.00) in error; and
WHEREAS, the error was not discovered before the deadline to protest and correct said
error; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to aid FMC by approving a tax amendment, foregoing taxes, and
accepting a tax roll amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED, that the City Council of the Cityof Stephenville approves
the FMC tax amendment, foregoes taxes due on the resulting reduced value, and accepts a
corrected, certified tax roll for 2016, reflecting the amendment.
APPROVED and ADOPTED bythe City Council of the City of Stephenville held on this 6`h day
of December, 2016.
