City of Stephenville - City Council
Tuesday, December 13, 2016, 5:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, convened on December 13, 2016, at 6:15 p.m.,
in the City Hall Training Room, 298 West Washington Street, for the purpose of a Special Council Meeting,
with the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting, giving the date, time, place and
subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon's Texas
Codes Annotated, with the following members present, to wit:

Call to Order. The meeting of the Stephenville City Council was called to order at 6:15 p.m. on
Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
II. Consider approval of Ordinance No. 2016-0-17 repealing the Water Conservation Committee
MOTION by Doug Svien, second by SherryZachery, to approve Ordinance No.2016-0-17. MOTION
CARRIED by unanimous vote.
III. Consider appointments to the Airport Advisory Board and the Library Advisory Board
MOTION by Doug Svien, second by Mark McClinton, to appoint Shannon Truesdell and Chris
Williams to the Airport Advisory Board, and appoint William Eugene Atkinson to the Library Board.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
IV. Consider approval to amend the Thoroughfare Plan to reclassify Old Hico Road as a local street
MOTION by Mark McClinton, second by Alan Nix, to approve amending the Thoroughfare Plan of
the 2030 Comprehensive Plan to change the classification of Old Hico Road from "Minor Collector
Street" to "Local Street". MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.

V. Consider approval of request by Rick Hale of Hale Construction under Section 6.11 Appeal,
Subdivision Ordinance of the City of Stephenville, to appeal the maximum allowable driveway
width of 4S feet
MOTION by Alan Nix, second by Mark McClinton, to approve the appeal of Rick Hale, Hale
Construction, under Section 6.11 of the Subdivision Ordinance of the City of Stephenville, to allow
a driveway width of 100 feet. MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
VI. Adjourn
MOTION by Mark McClinton, second by Sherry Zachery, to adjourn the meeting. MOTION
CARRIED at 6:46 p.m.
